Photography
Our philosophy is that you are
paying for the talents, skill and energy of the photographer. Once the
image is captured on film you should not have to pay high rates for automated
process like printing and related post photography activities. These are
offered at cost plus 20% to cover handling. This is very different
from many photography companies who charge low rates for the photography to entice
the buyer and then charge exorbitant rates for processing. We charge market
rates for photography of this nature. The benefit
for you are long term cost savings and one-of-a-kind custom work, the way you
want it. We also use very high quality equipment and often larger format materials
and traditional hand processes. These add costs but help create quality.
We also take time to listen to you and work to understand your needs. We
will also take on unusual work that other photographers do not do. If you
want inexpensive photography there are many by-the-number photographers who are
happy to do the work. We do not try to compete with mass market
photographers.
Capabilities
This is a one photographer concern, with assistants and
collaborators on call. We can not take on large long term multi-week assignments.
I like to keep our work load low and focus on only a few clients a year. I
will reject jobs if I do not feel capable of meeting your needs.
We have the capability to take on diverse assignments.
We photograph in traditional film formats from 35 mm to 8X10 and digital. We have
extensive studio and artificial lighting experience and we can travel to your
project. I can also provide make-up and hair service for
clients. I also have experience in digital photography and Photoshop
manipulations. If you have a difficult image you need worked for
publication I can adjust the curves and make most images much better.
But most importantly I have the sensitivity, the technical ability and drive
to create outstanding photography.
